Man in Theater with Script

Seeking Director Submissions

UR Here is a nonprofit theater that stages socially impactful productions, giving a platform to diverse voices and letting art be our activism.
We generally produce six staged readings every year, three in Spring and three in Fall, and are seeking interested directors.

While we often work with already-established directors, we welcome interested artists who have never directed a show before. Everybody starts somewhere, right?

We strive to match material with directors whose voice aligns with the themes of the plays we produce.

We frequently have short-listed several titles and will strive to match you up with material that get green-lit to bring to the community.

If you have specific material you would like to pitch and direct that aligns with our mission, please send us a digital copy or link for our Lit Team to review. (Email address below.)

Staged readings are generally the 2nd Saturday of the month.

A list of potential themes and viewpoints would be fairly unwieldy. To get an idea of the types of themes and topics we have addressed (which include abortion, gender identity, immigration, border disputes, and much more) take a look through our Previous Productions.

So, don’t worry if you have a script you wish to direct or see performed that addresses another talk-worthy topic; send it to us.

Our Lit Team does the first read of potential titles and then presents the Board with top recommendations for the given series. Some titles are earmarked for future series.

Yes! I'm in!

Great! We're always looking for ways to enlarge our Community!

To be considered as a director please send in your résumé and interest letter (including how you connect with these social issues) to:
